Twirling and swirling their bright colorful dresses.
Smiles and laughter lit up the room as adults and children alike danced with vigor.
This was truly a celebration of life,
Joy,
Peace.
At the start of a happier, up-beat song Father's took Daughter's into their arms and led them into dance.
It was surely a night the little girls would remember.

A similar night played in one teen's mind.
She sat in the corner with her own music playing and her forgotten sketches on her lap.
She remembered the night she danced...
In a Hawaiian luau Father Daughter dance in the arms of her father she twirled and danced among the other girls, appearing normal for a change.
Since then she had forgotten the steps.

Tears had filled her eyes threatening to fall...
But she dried her eyes quickly and stubbornly,
Not wanting to cry anymore over this matter.

In the recesses of the girl's mind Keri noticed her friends distress.
'That's over and done with. It's not your fault he doesn't spend more time with you.'
Playing with the girl's hair in their own world, she tried to calm her...what should she call it....aibou?
"It doesn't matter now that he's across the country." the girl countered.
Keri paused...then repeated 'It's not your fault.'
To not be able to control anything about such a matter was a decapitating feeling the girl knew well...
But that doesn't mean that it didn't sting just as much.
"I know..." she whispered.
Keri looked down at the girl and gathered her into her arms and they both watched.
